Vonadhona is a brand working to create sustainable products while taking responsibility to reduce harm done to the environment.

To make an impact on the way people think about consumer goods. How they can change their habits to becoming more environmentally aware. How to choose better products without having to compromise on style and cost.

The word, Vonadhona refers to the seasonal life of the Maldive Islands; where one side of the island recedes, as the other side builds up, bringing the island harmonious seasonal rhythm.The word Vonadhona is derived from two dhivehi words. Vona from the word Vode', which refers to the building of the beach, and Dhona meaning Girun, which refers to the receding of the beach.

The process is described by Mr Ahmed Shafeegu in his book Vonadhona Raajje'.
